Eko Petrochemical Refinery commends CBN Governor

The management of Eko Petrochemical Refinery Ltd has commended Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), for his good intention to assist modular refiners.

The Chairman of the company,  Mr Emmanuel lheanacho, gave the commendation during an interview with newsmen in Lagos.

Recall that Emefile, during his visit to Dangote refinery in January , disclosed his intention to  support modular refiners in the country with funds needed to import equipment.

Meanwhile, the proposed Eko Petrol Chemical Refinery Company’s 20,000 barrel per day production capacity modular refinery is located at Tomaro Island Port in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos worth 250 million dollars (about N90 billion).

Iheanacho expressed his company’s readiness to apply for the foreign exchange facility and promised to provide  the CBN governor with detailed information of the project as well as a detailed report of progress achieved.

According to him, the report will help the bank to know to to assist in order to achieve their goals and objective.  with the report of progress achieved so far, to see where and how the bank can assist us to realise our plan objectives.

He noted that the nature of the assistance expected  to be received from the CBN and other national financing and development institutions are matters which would fully engage the management’s attention in the coming few weeks and months.
