FG Partners Dangote To Reconstruct Ofeme Community Deplorable Road

The deplorable condition of some roads in Abia State is about to become a thing of the past, after the Federal Government struck a deal with Dangote Industries Limited to see to the reconstruction of the roads and bridges at Ofeme Community.
The project was officially flagged off yesterday and AG-Dangote will be in charge of the reconstruction.

The firm, which is one of Dangote's, is partnering with the Federal Government under Executive Order #7 of 2019.

It is a strategy that gives private firms the opportunity to make use of tax credits to reduce corporate taxes the government collects from them. They do this until they eventually recoup the value of their investments in roads and bridges.


Speaking at the flag off event, the President of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, lauded the government for the initiative that gives private businesses like his to participate in the provision of critical infrastructure in the country.

Represented by the South South Regional Director of Dangote Cement, Mr. Okoro George, the billionaire stated that the project will make things easier for the community.

Also present at the event is the Federal Controller of Works, Abia State, Engr. Nwankwo Chukwudike, who was representing the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola.

The former Lagos State governor described the reconstruction as a huge project that opens the community to development.
