Globacom Eventually Upgrades Base Stations

Nigerian Telecommunications firm , Globacom ,  has diclosed its plans to roll out 400 additional sites this year.

This will in turn help in  upgrading the existing Base Transceiver Stations ( BTS ),  improve customer services and expand to new cities across the country.

Globacom ’ s Group Chief Technical Officer , Sanjib Roy, also noted that the firm would roll out Long Term Evolution (LTE) in 1800 MHz band for greater handset compatibility and subscriber adoption .

In a bid to improve the growth of businesses in the country,  Globacom would also create new enterprise products to cater to the need of the small and medium scale enterprise ( SMEs )

Roy also promised that the firm would  roll out the Glo2 submarine cable before the year ends , to provide bandwidth for local ICT business to flourish as well as provide back up for the terrestrial fibre route from Port Harcourt to Lagos .

Globacom ’ s Senior Manager , Marketing Communications , Sola Mogaji, also made it known that its mobile money platform which will be launched in few weeks will bring about an improvement in the financial transaction process of the country.

Definitely, the management at Globacom are busy with ensuring the production of new products that will place at above their competitors in the country.
