Leadway Assurance Company Limited has urged stakeholders to improve their support to the government’s efforts in public security.

Executive Director, General Insurance, Leadway Assurance, Adetola Adegbayi, said this during a presentation of Nissan patrol van by the company to the Iponri Police Division of the Nigeria Police Force, as part of its partnership with the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF).

Making the donation at the Leadway Assurance Corporate office in Iponri Lagos, Adegbayi noted that Lagos state is a big city with an estimated population of nearly 20 million people

According to her, it will be very difficult and challenging to achieve optimum public security and this has been a major concern for well-meaning residents.

Similarly, Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of LSSTF, Dr. Abdurrazaq Balogun, also said that Lagos is the commercial nerve centre of Nigeria where a lot of people troop in and out on a daily basis.

He stressed that the expenditure required to overcome these challenges beyond the capability of the state government adding that there is need to continually reach out to individuals and corporate citizens in the state for their help.

Balogun also thanked Leadway Assurance and other organizations for their partnership and consistent support.
