Law expert, Iyiola Oyedepo expresses concern over Lack of proper information among MSMEs

Nigeria  has about 40 million MSMEs across various sectors in the country which provides 50 per cent of the jobs in the economy. Therefore its  significance cannot be undermined.

However, Medium , Small and Micro Enterprises ( MSMEs ) in Nigeria  have been characterized by lack of proper and adequate information which has affected the growth of these enterprises.

Meanwhile experts have said these MSMEs deal with so many problems that range from structure to inadequate funding, strategy and planning.
Speaking on the issue, the Managing Partner of the law firm , Iyiola Oyedepo and Company ( IOC ), Iyiola Oyedepo , during a book launch expressed concern over inadequate sensitization adding that most business owners are unaware of the opportunities available for their businesses.

Oyedepo , who is also the author  of "Essays on Nigerian Business" said the publication would educate business owners  about  business operations , without depending on professionals for the growth of their businesses .

He stressed that the book will give business owners an insight into the pros and cons of running an enterprise in Nigeria along side daily business experiences.

Similarly,  the Head, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency ( SMEDAN ) , Ogun State Office , Kole Dawodu also noted that ignorance  has led to the failure of most Nigerian entrepreneurs.
