The APC governorship candidate for Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu said his government would increase the funds allocated for the development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and that, if elected, he will also minimize the conditions for accessing the funds at the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF).
Sanwo- Olu said this development aims at making the Lagos economy smart and a 21st-Century economy adding that Entrepreneurs and technology startups operating in Lagos State will have an opportunity to improve their businesses.
Sanwo-Olu said this during the Lagos Enterprise Summit held at Harbour Point on the Victoria Island.
While speaking at the event themed: The Enterprise Initiative: Job for Lagos, Sanwo-Olu urged successful SME operators train interns for mentoring purpose.
According to him, such action would improve the productivity of young people and ensure economic development.
The APC candidate advised the entrepreneurs not to relent in creating new innovations to improve their business and skills, noting that economic growth in recent times is hinged on problem-solving innovations.
Sanwo-Olu also said if his government is elected, safety in all part of the state will be guaranteed and urged the masses to vote for him.
Mr Sanwo-Olu won the current governor of the state - Mr Akinwumi Ambode - in the party's primary election some weeks back.
